Taverna Del Mar, founded in 1936, is a must-try restaurant when in Costa Brava.
La Taverna del Mar is a jewel of Catalan Modernism listed as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest. Born in 1936 and built by Josep Ensesa Gubert, creator of S'Agaró and the Hostal de La Gavina, it has always stood out for its beauty, location and for its seafood cuisine. In 2014 the Ensesa family completely renovated La Taverna del Mar and the hand of the Hostal de La Gavina and Romain Fornell, its gastronomic advisor, launched a new gastronomic proposal with the aim of offering a quality product and a unique experience on the Costa Brava.
The restaurant offers a 100% Mediterranean menu with the best wild fish, seafood from our shores and a wide selection of rice. It accompanies a winery with a large selection of wines and sparkling wines.
